It never changes our picks

This is the important part. A commission never buys a spot in a roundup, a higher ranking, or a kinder verdict. Our recommendations are made independently, against the process on our methodology page, and we say where gear falls short as plainly as where it shines. When the best choice for you is a product we earn nothing on — a direct-only machine, or simply the cheaper of two listings — that is still the choice we give you.

Prices and availability

Any price we display is pulled from Amazon's live data feed and stamped with an "as of" date. Prices and availability change constantly, so the price shown on Amazon's own page at checkout is always the one that applies. If our data is more than about 48 hours old, we hide the number and show a "check price" link instead — we would rather show you nothing than a stale number.

How outbound links work

Our product buttons route through an internal redirect so we can keep links current and add the correct affiliate tag at click time. Affiliate links carry the standard rel="sponsored nofollow" attributes. Editorial links to manufacturers and sources are ordinary links and earn us nothing.
